Located just 25 kilometers south of Phuket, the Raya Islands (also known as the Racha Islands) are a pair of tropical paradises celebrated for their crystal-clear waters, powdery white sand beaches, and vibrant marine life. It takes roughly 30 minutes to reach them via speedboat from Phuket, making them a premier destination for day trips, snorkelling, and diving.
The destination is split into two distinct islands:
1. Raya Yai (Racha Yai)
Raya Yai is the main, inhabited island of the two and where most day-trip tours anchor. It features a stunning, U-shaped main beach called Patok Bay, known for its brilliant turquoise waters and soft sand.

The Landscape: The island is a beautiful mix of rocky cliffs, coconut groves, and small patches of tropical jungle.

Top Spots: Aside from Patok Bay, the island hosts Siam Bay, Ter Bay, and Kon Kare Bay.

2. Raya Noi (Racha Noi)
Situated a bit further south, Raya Noi is entirely uninhabited and retains a much more rugged, raw, and pristine atmosphere.

Activities: Because of its deep waters and strong currents, Raya Noi is a legendary hotspot for experienced scuba divers, offering a chance to spot larger marine life like manta rays and reef sharks.
