Dos and Don’ts when travelling to Phuket
Tours In Phuket
Phuket is a popular travel destination, and for good reason, its an incredibly beautiful, exciting place that has everything, from historic buildings to 21st century nightlife and most things in between. But with so much to see and do, it is easy to get overwhelmed on your first visit, and with that in mind, we have noted some thing things you should, and should not, do when you travel to Phuket.
Do: Tours In Phuket
Visit Phang Nga Bay – It’s a unique place, mixing the green waters and limestone cliffs that just rise straight up out of the water. There really is nowhere else like it on the planet, and its home to some amazing wildlife that you can often see close up on one of the tours in Phuket.
Spend a day on Phi Phi Island – When you sit at your desk at work imagining your beach vacation, its probably a palm lined beach of white sand with the turquoise clear water of the ocean stretching away in front of you. Phi Phi Island is that dream made real, and you need to see it for yourself.
Attend a Night Market – While many will tell you the clubs on Bangla Road is where all the after dark action is, for those not looking for the club experience, a night market will amaze. A mix of local culture and tourist attraction, local street snacks and tourist souvenir shops stand shoulder to shoulder in the street. The aromas, sounds, people and performers make these markets an assault on all your senses, and a visit you will never forget.
Don’t:
Be afraid to haggle – Whether the market or the taxis and Tuk Tuks, don’t accept the fixed price, you can usually get 50 BHT or so off if you ask. At markets, you can often haggle down to 75% or less of the asking price, so it’s worth the effort.
Phuket is an amazing place, but there really is too much to see and do if you don’t plan ahead. Most important of all though, on your trip, have fun.
